Many exciting opportunities for student employment are offered by the Student Center. Brief descriptions for each position can be found below. Several leadership roles exist for the various areas of the Student Center but usually require tenure prior to applying. Student Staff Position Descriptions
Assist with reconciling expense and revenue budgets, generating invoices, filing, data entry, daily deposits, payroll and other fiscal management tasks of Student Center Operations.
Audiovisual Technicians Apply Now!
Provide support for set-up, inventory and client orientation for audiovisual equipment.
Manage evening and weekend operations of the Student Center. Specific duties include customer contact, event set-up, security and crisis intervention.
Cinefest Attendants are offered the chance to learn the technology behind film projection and to master the daily tasks of running the theater’s box office.
Digital Marketing & Outreach Assistants
Assist in digital marketing and promotions of the Student Center by developing communication materials, maintaining social media sites and conducting public outreach efforts.
Work with the Student Center Event Management staff to assist individuals to plan and implement their events in the Student Center.
Event Support Assistant
Aids the Event Support Coordinator with facility reservations, specifically providing client support for the campus spaces reserved by the Student Center, including Urban Life West Exhibit Areas, Urban Life Plaza, Library Plaza, Unity Plaza (solicitors), Hurt Park and promotional spaces.
Work with the Student Center Operations team to conduct set-up and turnover of equipment and furniture in the reservable space in the Student Center.
The Human Resources Assistants for the SC Administrative Office assist with payroll, new hire onboarding processes, and updating various spreadsheets and databases.
We currently have Graduate Administrative Assistantships (GAA) available for the 2017-2018 academic year. Information Center Assistants
Work in the Information Center assisting patrons, conducting counter sales operations and providing information about the university, the Student Center and the Atlanta area.

88 Sessions Audio or Video Team Assistants
The 88 Sessions Audio or Video Team Assistants ensure the success at live events, primarily at Cinefest, a theater and music venue located in Student Center West. The audio team will do sound checks with the artists and live audio engineering for events including audio switching and mixing. The video team will be responsible for all aspects of video production.
The Administrative Technology Assistant supports the Administrative Office and aids with all technology needs within the Student Center.
