Online Reservations for Event & Meeting Spaces
This web portal accepts reservation requests from university departments and chartered student organizations for the use of event and meeting space in Student Center East, Student Center West, Veterans Memorial Hall, Library Plaza, Unity Plaza and Urban Life Plaza. Off campus clients will still request space by phone or email.
“When making reservation requests, clients should be aware that the Student Center and the University Center buildings were renamed effective June 6, 2015. The Student Center was renamed Student Center East, and the University Center is now Student Center West.”
– said Jeannie Cho, Student Center event planning manager.
The new online reservation system syncs directly with Student Center Event Management scheduling software and allows users to browse a calendar of events already scheduled within the center. It gathers detailed information at the time a reservation is made to help process requests more efficiently and accurately.
Virtual EMS currently accepts only meeting and event space reservations; promotional space and Hurt Park requests are still processed with paper forms in the Student Center Event Management office. Requests to schedule an event or make changes to an event within 72 hours of a reservation date may not be made through Virtual EMS but should be made by phone or email directly to the Student Center Event Management Office.
Access to Virtual EMS is available at studentcenter.gsu.edu/events, along with a tutorial that walks users step by step through the reservation process. Clients must set up a user account to use the system, and up to three accounts may be created per department or organization. For information about additional training, contact the Student Center Event Management office.
“We hope this will streamline the reservation process and that people will find it easy to use. As always, if clients have specific event questions, they can contact our office directly. We look forward to working with everyone on their upcoming events.”
